The doctor who conducted the first post-mortem examination of young Karachi entrepreneur Mir Raza has stood by his report, saying the victim was shot from the front and that he prepared the findings without any pressure. Speaking to the media on Monday after appearing before the judicial commission probing the Mir Raza murder case, Dr Usama said he remained firm on his first post-mortem report. He said that Police Surgeon Dr Summaiya had remained in contact with him and that he had sent her the post-mortem report via WhatsApp. Dr Usama said he had kept photographs taken during the post-mortem to help prepare the reference for the report, adding that he did not know they would later be shared on social media. He said he had prepared the post-mortem report without any pressure and submitted it on August 1. “I did not know the case would become so prominent, ” Dr Usama said, adding that he had initially been told that matters would improve but they subsequently became worse.
