Country: Bangladesh Sources: Health Cluster, World Health Organization Please refer to the attached file. On 11 July 2026, an ad-hoc Health Cluster meeting convened 75 representatives from government health authorities and partner organizations to review the health response to severe floods and landslides affecting Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Bandarban, Rangamati, and Khagrachhari. The event reportedly caused 29 landslide-related deaths and 15 drowning deaths. A total of 516 medical teams were deployed across 50 upazilas, with adequate stocks of essential medicines, oral and intravenous rehydration fluids, water purification tablets, and anti-snake venom reported. Although no major diarrhoeal outbreak had been detected, partners prioritized continued surveillance for diarrhoeal diseases, dengue, measles, and other post-flood health risks; uninterrupted maternal, newborn, child health and routine immunization services; special support for vulnerable groups; strengthened shelter sanitation and risk communication; maintenance of vaccine cold chains; and assessment of damaged or inundated health facilities.
