Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has urged Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to begin governance reforms by implementing the National Action Plan within his own ministry. Responding to Naqvi’s call for a system reset, Asif said he agreed with the assessment but argued reforms should be pursued through Parliament and the cabinet. PM’s adviser Rana Sanaullah also criticised Naqvi’s remarks, defending the parliamentary system and noting Naqvi had benefited from the existing system for years. The debate follows DG ISPR’s recent remarks that good governance is key to Pakistan’s security and stability.
