Mozambique: Community Feedback & Referral Analysis – April to June 2026

Country: Mozambique Source: International Organization for Migration Please refer to the attached file. What feedback was received? This quarter, 4, 236 feedback entries were received, a 94% increase from the baseline and broadly consistent with last quarter (4, 938). The sustained high volume reflects the displacement surge and expansion of CCCM operations reported last quarter, while the large increase from baselines still exists due to lower feedback volumes recorded at the end of 2025. Almost all feedback (99%) consisted of requests for assistance, services, or repairs, with the remaining 1% being general enquiries. Shelter/NFI (SNFI), Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), and WASH remained the most common sectors. However, FSL overtook SNFI as the leading sector this quarter, driven by increased requests for Livelihood support from sites in Mecufi and farming support, particularly from sites in Chibuto. Who provided feedback and how did they reach us? Most feedback this quarter was collected through Mobile Outreach (97%), with the remaining 3% received via Information Desks. Women and Girls provided 68% of feedback submitted, an increase in participation of 5 percent points (pp) from the baseline. Across genders and vulnerability groups, the most common requests related to shelter, NFIs, farming, and food assistance, indicating broadly consistent priorities and reflecting that many respondents were providing feedback on behalf of their households. The main variation was among people under 18, who accounted for just 3% of feedback and were more likely to raise issues related to education and protection, including school support, clothing, and missed protection distributions. What Referrals were Resolved? Of the 3, 096 completed referrals, 50% were successfully resolved by service providers, a rate broadly consistent with the baseline (+1 percentage point). The largest improvements were seen in requests for school support (+87 percentage points) and household latrines (+70 percentage points). The remaining 50% of completed referrals were unresolved, also in line with the baseline. Sites in Macomia recorded the highest unresolved referral rate, with 98% of its 302 completed referrals unresolved. The main reasons cited were “No Agency or Service” and “Lack of Funding”, primarily affecting requests for shelter assistance and NFI kits.
