Upbringing, character- building of kids: CM pays tribute to parents’ sacrifices

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has paid tribute to the unparalleled sacrifices made by parents in the upbringing and character building of their children. In her special message on the occasion of the Global Day of Parents, ’’ the chief minister extended her heartfelt salutations to all parents and acknowledged their sacrifices, love and invaluable role in shaping the lives of their children. Maryam Nawaz said this day is observed worldwide to raise awareness about the respect, rights and responsibilities associated with parenthood. “Parents are the greatest blessing in the world. Their love, prayers and guidance are the most precious assets for children, ” she said. She remarked that every success she had achieved in life was due to her parents. She said her mother and father, Nawaz Sharif, had always encouraged her to serve the poor and underprivileged. The chief minister said that when she assumed the office of chief minister, her father had been her strongest source of encouragement and support.
