FBR integrates 12,950 big retailers with POS system

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has integrated 12, 950 big retailers, textile/leather retailers and restaurants with the Point of Sales (POS) system up to April 1, 2026 to document transactions of Tier-I retailers and hotels/restaurants. Total number of integrated branches/outlets of Tier-I retailers, textile/leather retailers and restaurants stood at 35, 953 up to April 1, 2026. According to the list of retailers compiled by the FBR till April 1, a total of 11, 376 Tier-I retailers were registered with the POS system. Total number of 23, 784 branches of retailers has been integrated with the system. As many as 1, 013 restaurants were registered with the POS system whereas 1, 543 branches have been integrated with the FBR’s system. A total of 561 leather and textile retailers were registered with the FBR whereas 10, 626 branches have been integrated with the system. Copyright Business Recorder, 2026
