At least seven people were killed and 10 others injured after a fire broke out following a gas pipeline explosion in the Hattar Industrial Area of Haripur, police said on Thursday. District Police Officer (DPO) confirmed that the blaze erupted after an explosion in a gas pipeline, triggering a fire that rapidly spread across the site. “Seven people have died and 10 others sustained severe burn injuries, ” the DPO said. Authorities said the victims include women and children, raising concerns over the presence of residential quarters or families within or near the industrial zone. Rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals, where several were reported to be in critical condition. Efforts were underway to control the fire and assess the extent of the damage. Officials have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the cause of the pipeline explosion and any potential safety lapses.
