Sri Lankan shares closed lower on Friday, and slipped for the week. The CSE All Share index settled down 0. 33% at 20, 812. 64, and fell 1. 07% over the week. SMB Finance PLC and Eastern Merchants PLC were the top percentage losers on the CSE All Share index, falling 8. 3% and 4. 8%, respectively. Trading volume on the CSE All Share index fell to 29. 9 million shares from 65. 4 million in the previous session. The equity market’s turnover fell to 873. 4 million Sri Lankan rupees ($2. 64 million) from 1. 43 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data. Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 183. 7 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 829. 9 million rupees, the data showed.
