Muhammad Azam elected Chairman of PTA (Central)

LAHORE: Muhammad Azam of Royal Leather Industries Ltd. , Lahore, has been elected unopposed as Chairman of the Pakistan Tanners Association (Central) for the 2026-28 term. The elections of the PTA Central Executive Committee were held recently, with Muhammad Shafi of Mateen Brothers, Karachi, elected unopposed as Senior Vice Chairman and Muhammad Mehr Ali of KTM Leather (Pvt) Ltd. , Multan, elected unopposed as Vice Chairman for the two-year term, said a press release. The newly elected Central Executive Committee includes Abrar Ahmed of Mahmood Brothers, Karachi; Ejaz Ahmed Sheikh of Bombal Leather, Karachi; Farid Ahmed of Leather Village, Sialkot; Irfan Iqbal of Nova Leathers Pvt Ltd. , Karachi; Muhammad Ishfaq of Riaz Tanneries, Kasur; Shoukat Ali of Rasheed Ahmed & Sons, Karachi; Tahir of Tahueed International Pvt Ltd. , Lahore; Tanweer Aslam Chawla of Chawla Tanneries, Kasur; and Shaikh Saqib Saeed Masood of Khas Industries Pvt Ltd. , Karachi. Associate members elected to the committee are Farooq Ahmed Shaikh of Madina Oasis, Karachi; Muhammad Saifullah Tahir of A M Chemical Traders, Sahiwal; Zahid Anwer of Perfect Gloves Manufacturers, Karachi; and Sheikh Muhammad Shafi of Pan Asia International, Lahore.
