Apple has started rolling out Apple TV and Apple Arcade at no extra cost to paid iCloud+ subscribers in Pakistan, with users receiving emails about the expanded subscription benefits. Apple’s iCloud+ webpage now lists Pakistan among the countries where the expanded subscription is available. Under the new arrangement, existing iCloud+ subscribers automatically get access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade while retaining their existing storage plans and prices. Emails received by Pakistani subscribers on Wednesday showed the benefit being added to existing plans. One 50GB subscriber said the monthly price would remain Rs200, while a 2TB subscriber was informed that the price would remain Rs2, 500 per month. Apple says iCloud+ subscribers can also share their plans with up to five family members, including access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade. Availability of specific content and features may vary by country or region. The development comes shortly after Salman Dar was appointed Apple’s Head of Government Affairs for Pakistan, a newly established role through which he said he would lead the company’s engagement with regulators, policymakers and other stakeholders in the country. Dar previously served as CEO of IT company Itroos and held leadership roles at the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA). P@SHA records also identify him as Itroos CEO, while Dar has said he has around 30 years of experience in local and international technology markets and government policy engagement. Apple has said the expanded iCloud+ package is being rolled out across more than 100 countries.
