An earthquake of magnitude 4. 9 on the Richter scale jolted Islamabad and surrounding areas on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV. The earthquake was recorded at a depth of 196 kilometres beneath the Earth’s surface. The epicentre of the earthquake was located in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan. Earthquake were felt in Islamabad and nearby areas, causing concern among residents. No casualties or property damage have been reported so far.
