33 Indian-sponsored terrorists killed in Balochistan: ISPR

Security forces have killed 33 Indian-sponsored Khawarij and terrorists in counterterrorism operations in Balochistan since September 21, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday. According to the military’s media wing, security forces on September 24 busted additional terrorist hideouts during the ongoing Operation Shaban. After an intense exchange of fire, five Indian-sponsored Khawarij were killed, taking the total number of Khawarij killed in the operation to 22. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the terrorists’ hideouts, the ISPR said. The military said the clearance operation would continue until the threat in the area was completely eliminated. In a separate engagement on September 25, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Nushki district. During the operation, troops effectively engaged a terrorist hideout. Following an intense exchange of fire, 11 terrorists were killed, according to the ISPR. The latest casualties bring the total number of Indian-sponsored Khawarij and terrorists killed in the ongoing operations in Balochistan since September 21 to 33, the military said. The ISPR said security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue their counterterrorism campaign under the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative at full pace to eliminate foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
