16 terrorists killed in Balochistan operations over two days: ISPR

Security forces killed 16 terrorists in separate counter-terrorism operations in Balochistan over the past 48 hours, the military’s media wing said Friday. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), five terrorists were killed on September 24 during an operation in the Shaban area of Quetta district, where security forces busted additional hideouts in continuation of Operation Shaban. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered. In a separate intelligence-based operation in Nushki district on September 25, security forces engaged a terrorist hideout, killing 11 terrorists after an intense exchange of fire. ISPR said the operations targeted what it described as Indian-sponsored Fitna Al Khawarij and Fitna Al Hindustan. The military said the counter-terrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” framework would continue at full pace to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country. The latest deaths take the number of terrorists killed in Balochistan operations since September 21 to 33, it added.
