Thailand – Severe weather (ADINet, TMD, NOAA-CPC) (ECHO Daily Flash of 24 March 2026)

Country: Thailand Source: European Commission’s Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations Since 20 March, storms and strong winds have battered northeastern, north‐western and central Thailand, leaving many residents affected. According to the ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet), as of 20 March, the provinces most severely impacted, listed in order of houses damaged, are Ratchaburi (100 homes damaged), Nakhon Phanom (70 homes), Amnat Charoen and Kalasin (each with roughly 21 homes), Tak (four homes), and Nong Bua Lamphu (three homes). In total, the events have impacted approximately 1 095 people across the six provinces. Over the next 48 hours, isolated rain showers, scattered thunderstorms and gusty winds are forecast across the country.
