No politician bigger than Pakistan: Danyal

RAWALPINDI: Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry has stated that no political leader is bigger than Pakistan, and any harm to the country’s dignity is unacceptable. Elements running campaigns against Pakistan have been exposed. He expressed these views during the inauguration of a newly completed Sui Gas pipeline in Chaklala Scheme-III on Friday. Barrister Danyal highlighted that despite the global energy crisis, the government under PM Shehbaz Sharif is taking effective measures to provide maximum relief to the public. Tensions among Iran, Israel, and the United States have intensified the global gas and electricity crisis, affecting supply chains and increasing prices. However, the government has adopted a comprehensive strategy to mitigate these impacts through prudent policies. He further stated that Pakistan has played a notable role as a mediator in the Middle East, with its diplomatic efforts being appreciated globally. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir have strengthened Pakistan’s diplomatic standing. He also noted that Pakistan’s diplomatic successes have caused frustration in India, with Indian media now criticising its own government. The Parliamentary Secretary expressed regret over an unfortunate incident in Geneva, where a speech by the son of the founder of PTI damaged Pakistan’s global reputation. He criticised PTI for previously opposing IMF assistance and now attempting to revoke Pakistan’s GSP Plus status, calling such actions contrary to national interest. Barrister Danyal also affirmed that the government is committed to public welfare, with the top priority being the provision of basic amenities at citizens’ doorsteps. Development projects are being completed on time with high quality, and no negligence or delay will be tolerated. He added that ongoing projects in the constituency are being personally overseen to ensure direct benefits reach the public. Local elders and residents praised the government’s efforts, stating that the Sui Gas pipeline was a long-standing demand that will significantly improve basic facilities and provide relief to the area.
