KE appoints Syed Taha as New CEO

KARACHI: K-Electric Limited (KE) has appointed Syed Taha as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective April 15, 2026, the company announced through a notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). Taha succeeds Adeeb Ahmad, who has been serving as interim CEO following the resignation of former chief Moonis Alvi earlier this year. He previously held the position of Chief Distribution Officer at K-Electric and has been serving as Managing Director and CEO of Pakistan State Oil (PSO) since February 2020. His experience also includes serving as Executive Director at Oasis Energy, leading the Program Management Office for the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company in Nigeria. Taha holds an Engineering degree and an MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi. Copyright Business Recorder, 2026
