KARACHI: Airport Security Force (ASF) on Wednesday intercepted a passenger at Bacha Khan International Airport Peshawar, recovering a large quantity of narcotics and undeclared foreign currency. According to details, ASF personnel identified a Dubai-bound passenger through profiling and placed him under surveillance. During the subsequent scanning process, the suspect’s trolley bag was flagged as suspicious, prompting officials to conduct a thorough physical search. The search yielded significant recovery of 441, 000 UAE Dirhams – equivalent to approximately Rs 33. 5 million along with 544 grams of narcotics. Following the successful operation, the suspect was handed over to Customs authorities along with the seized foreign currency and drugs for further legal proceedings.
