New ride-hailing platform ‘Drivver’ set to enter Pakistan market

A new player is entering the country’s ride-hailing space after JazzWorld Enterprise Solutions signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with iTechnologi for the launch of Drivver. According to a statement issued on Wednesday, the platform will offer ride-hailing services through various modes of transportation, including cars, motorcycles, and rickshaws. “A key feature of the platform will be that passengers and drivers using the Jazz network will be able to access the app without consuming mobile data. This will allow users to book rides, accept requests, and manage trips without requiring a separate internet package for the app, ” the company said. Under the agreement, JazzCash will facilitate digital payments within the Drivver ecosystem. Meanwhile, iTechnologi will lead the platform’s technology, service innovation, and operational aspects, while Jazz will provide connectivity and digital infrastructure support to the platform. The ride-hailing sector in Pakistan has become a vital part of everyday mobility, increasingly filling gaps left by limited public transport infrastructure and offering new income opportunities. In recent years, the sector itself has also begun evolving beyond traditional ride-hailing to embrace a broader “super app” model, incorporating courier deliveries, freight transport, and grocery services, thereby creating diverse income opportunities and solidifying its role as a crucial part of the country’s digital economy.
