464 Afghan Taliban killed, over 665 injured as operation Ghazb lil Haq continues: minister

Afghan Taliban have suffered 464 fatalities and more than 665 injuries as Pakistan’s security forces intensified operations under “Operation Ghazb lil Haq,” Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said on Tuesday.In a post on X, Tarar said 188 Afghan Taliban check posts had been destroyed while 31 posts were captured during the ongoing operation. He further claimed that 192 tanks, armoured vehicles and artillery guns were destroyed as part of the military response.According to the minister, 56 locations across Afghanistan were effectively targeted through air operations.READ MORE: Operation Ghazb-lil-Haq: Information minister says 415 Afghan Taliban personnel killedThe update comes amid heightened tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, with security forces continuing operations against what officials describe as hostile positions.Earlier in the day, Tarar said the security forces successfully repelled a series of large-scale attacks by the Afghan Taliban across Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa overnight.In an operational update, the minister said at least 67 Afghan Taliban fighters were killed during the skirmishes.One soldier was martyred and five others wounded in the clashes, he added.
