Sri Lankan shares closed marginally lower on Wednesday as losses in IT and energy stocks outweighed gains in materials and industrials. The CSE All Share index settled down 0. 03% at 21, 417. 80, falling for the third straight session. LAUGFS Gas PLC and PMF Finance PLC were the top percentage losers on the CSE All Share index, falling 2. 56% and 1. 75%, respectively. Trading volume on the CSE All Share index rose to 56. 9 million shares from 48. 7 million in the previous session. The equity market’s turnover rose to 1. 23 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($3. 66 million) from 1. 09 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data. Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 93. 4 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 1. 17 billion rupees, the data showed.
