KARACHI: The first Ali Asghar Valika All-Pakistan Invitational Snooker Championship, organised by World Home Snooker with the support of B-Activation, will commence on July 16, 2026 at Naya Nazimabad. This announcement was made President Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana Syed Muhammad Talha along with Waqar Alam founder World Home Snooker, Muhammad Yousuf former World Champion, Abbas Valika brother of the late Asghar Valika, Saad Jilani General Manager, Faizan Group of Companies, and Aqeel Latif Bakhsh Chief Referee at a press conference held at Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana Tournament Director Muhammad Waqas, along with organising committee members Muhammad Asif and Asad Ahmed, were also present on the occasion. Talha informed that the event is being held in honour of Ali Asghar Valika, whose contributions to the promotion of snooker in Pakistan are unforgettable; he dedicated over three decades to the development of the sport. The Ali Asghar Valika All-Pakistan Invitational Snooker Championship will take place from July 16 to 19 at the Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana, featuring 32 of Pakistan’s top cueists representing Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, at Islamabad, he added. The line-up includes four former world champions: Muhammad Yousuf, Muhammad Asif, Ahsan Ramzan, and Hassan Ramzan. The total prize money for the championship has been set at 1. 2 million rupees, with the winner receiving 300, 000 rupees and the runner-up 200, 000 rupees. Talha said that the players have been divided into eight pools. The top two players from each pool will advance to the Round of 16. The event final will take place on July 19.
