ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Monday forecast the onset of monsoon rains during the first week of July with widespread rain, windstorms and thunderstorms expected across most parts of the country under the influence of a westerly wave and strong moisture inflows from the Arabian sea and the Bay of Bengal.
