PHC inaugurates South Waziristan video link facilities

PESHAWAR – Chief Justice, Peshawar High Court, S. M. Attique Shah Thursday formally opened new video link systems in Ladha and Wana areas of South Waziristan district. These digital links connect remote tribal areas directly to district headquarters in Tank, making it much easier for people in these distant regions to access legal system. During opening ceremony, PHC Registrar Muhammad Zeb Khan welcomed guests and praised everyone involved for setting up technology. Local judicial officers explained that using video links means prisoners will no longer need to be constantly transported long distances for court hearings. This shift will drastically lower travel risks, cut down on transport costs, and make court proceedings much safer and faster. Local lawyers also spoke at event, sharing their excitement about how this technology will finally bridge long-standing gap between remote citizens and courts. In final remarks, Chief Justice Attique Shah praised local judges and administration for working together so effectively. He said that delivering quick justice directly to people was a core constitutional duty.
