LAHORE: Commercial Ambassador Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) Adeel Munawar stressed that Pakistan possesses tremendous potential to expand its mango exports to China by focusing on quality improvement, modern packaging, branding, and efficient supply chain management. In a statement, he said that China remains one of the largest and most promising markets for Pakistani mangoes and emphasized that growing consumer demand for premium-quality fruits in China presents a valuable opportunity for Pakistani exporters to strengthen their presence in the market. Pakistani mangoes are internationally renowned for their unique taste, aroma, and quality. “However, to maximize export potential in China, we must focus on meeting evolving consumer preferences through improved quality standards, better packaging, and value-added products. ” He further stated that Pakistan’s share in China’s mango imports remains relatively low despite the country’s strong production capacity and reputation for producing some of the world’s finest mango varieties. According to him, this gap reflects a significant untapped opportunity for exporters. He concluded that enhanced cooperation between Pakistan and China in the agriculture sector would not only boost mango exports but also create new opportunities for farmers, exporters, and agribusiness stakeholders, contributing to sustainable economic growth and stronger trade relations between the two friendly countries.
