article author: SANA Sat, 2026-06-13 05: 36 DAMASCUS: Syria’s Interior Ministry said Friday it had responded, in coordination with the National Commission for Missing Persons (NCMP), to a report of a mass grave discovered in the town of Sednaya containing the remains of opposition fighters killed during the western Qalamoun battles in 2014 against militias of the deposed regime. Internal security forces established a security cordon around the site to protect the location, preserve evidence and ensure the area remains undisturbed until legal procedures are completed, the ministry told SANA.
