ISLAMABAD: In a routine diplomatic development, India has nominated Dr. Satyanjal Pandey as its new chargé d’affaires in Islamabad, sources disclosed on Wednesday. The progress signals a diplomatic shake-up in the High Commissions in the two capitals. Pakistan has accepted the nomination of Dr. Pandey, said the source, adding that he will be posted to Pakistan in the next few weeks. Earlier, Pandey served as India’s deputy high commissioner to Sri Lanka. The appointment of Dr. Satyanjal marks the end of the tenure of incumbent Indian Charge D’Affaires Geetika Srivastava. She will be leaving for India after completing her term in Pakistan. Copyright Business Recorder, 2026
