Country: Guinea-Bissau Source: World Food Programme Please refer to the attached file. In 2025, Guinea‐Bissau remained one of the world’s most fragile contexts, marked by high poverty, rising food insecurity and economic vulnerability exacerbated by climate shocks and political instability. In response, the World Food Programme (WFP) scaled up its operations, reaching over 304, 000 people, a 13 percent increase compared to 2024, by combining life‐saving assistance with longer‐term systems strengthening. Working closely with the Government, UN agencies, and national and international partners, and with the generous support of donors, WFP delivered results across all strategic outcomes. In a context that remains largely under‐funded and often overlooked, these collective efforts helped meet urgent needs while reinforcing the foundations for longer‐term resilience.
