Sri Lankan shares closed lower on Tuesday, due to losses in healthcare and energy stocks. The CSE All Share index settled down 0. 49% at 22, 584. 30. Serendib Land PLC and Lankem Developments PLC were the top percentage losers on the CSE All Share index, falling 5. 06% and 4. 95%, respectively. Trading volume on the CSE All Share index rose to 97. 9 million shares from 90. 2 million in the previous session. The equity market’s turnover fell to 2. 15 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($6. 7 million) from 4. 81 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data. Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 107. 3 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 2. 09 billion rupees, the data showed.
