The European Union is ready to help improve Karachi’s water supply system through funding aimed at upgrading infrastructure, according to a report. The water system in Pakistan’s largest city will be improved with 60 million euros in financing, the report said. It added that the EU will also extend further support for development and public health initiatives in the southern province of Sindh. Separately, work is underway on the 100 million euros Sindh People’s Housing for Flood-Residents Project, the report said.
