Country actively engaged with regional, global partners: Dar

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM) Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar said on Friday that Pakistan is actively engaged with regional and international partners to promote de-escalation, bridge differences, and support diplomatic initiatives aimed at resolving ongoing conflicts. In his message on International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace, he stated that Pakistan has consistently championed the peaceful resolution of disputes through dialogue, mediation, and good offices. On this day, Pakistan reaffirms its steadfast commitment to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, which enshrine sovereign equality, the peaceful settlement of disputes, and collective action for the maintenance of international peace and security. At a time when conflicts are intensifying and trust in international institutions is eroding, multilateralism and diplomacy remain the only credible and sustainable pathways to peace. The challenges confronting the international community today demand a renewed commitment to dialogue, cooperation, and respect for international law. As a country with a long-standing contribution to United Nations peacekeeping and a firm belief in multilateral diplomacy, Pakistan will continue to play a constructive role in advancing dialogue, fostering cooperation, and reinforcing the multilateral system. On this important day, DPM/FM said that Pakistan calls upon the international community to reinvigorate multilateralism and strengthen diplomatic engagement to build a more peaceful, just, and prosperous world.
