LAHORE: Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that March 23 is a day of renewed commitment for the people of Pakistan, emphasizing that the implementation of a system based on the Quran and Sunnah remains the ultimate destination of the country. In his Pakistan Day message issued from Mansoorah, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman stated that the Lahore Resolution laid the foundation of an Islamic democratic state, and that its true spirit lies in establishing a system rooted in Islamic principles. He described March 23 as a day to reaffirm the ideological basis of Pakistan, which, he said, was built on the Two-Nation Theory. He further remarked that Pakistan, by the grace of Allah, is today a nuclear power, and asserted that no “taghuti” (tyrannical) force in the world can cast an evil eye on the country.
