An Israeli infantry unit of approximately 30 soldiers advanced toward the dam area in the northern countryside of Quneitra province and deployed there, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency. Following the fall of the Bashar Assad regime in December 2024, Israeli forces have conducted regular incursions into villages in southern Syria, particularly near Quneitra and Suwaida.
