At least 11 people were killed and 30 others injured when a police checkpost in Aman Mela near Dera Ismail Khan’s Darazinda was targeted in a bomb attack on Saturday. According to Rescue 1122 officials, terrorists parked a loader rickshaw near the Aman Mela checkpost and detonated explosives. The blast killed 11 people and injured 30 others. Several of the injured were reported to be in critical condition. Rescue teams reached the site and launched an operation to evacuate the injured and recover the victims. The Aman Mela checkpost is located in the Darazinda subdivision of Dera Ismail Khan. Further details about the nature of the blast and the identities of those killed and injured were awaited.
