The Pakistan Consulate in Jeddah has launched an appointment system for passport and NADRA identity card services, with applicants required to book their visit in advance from today. Consul General Syed Mustafa Rabbani shared details of the online appointment procedure while briefing journalists, saying the consulate would continue taking measures to facilitate overseas Pakistanis. He said Pakistanis travelling from other cities often reach the Jeddah consulate early in the morning to process their passports and identity cards, with the process sometimes taking up their entire day. Under the new system, applicants can choose a preferred date and time and arrive at the consulate just 15 minutes before their appointment, helping save time and avoid inconvenience. To book an appointment, applicants need to provide their name, identity card number and mobile number on the consulate’s website. The appointment details will then be sent to their mobile phone. The consulate said from October 1, services will not be provided without a prior appointment.
