Displacement situation in Haiti – Round 14 | August 2026

Since August 2022, the Directorate General of Civil Protection (DGPC) and IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) have been conducting periodic assessments of localities hosting displaced populations. These assessments aim to provide baseline information on the scale and dynamics of displacement, as well as on the living conditions and needs of displaced populations. Their objective is to inform response strategies, whether for immediate humanitarian interventions or initiatives aimed at promoting durable solutions. Data collection for Round 14 was conducted between 15 May and 12 August 2026 by 518 enumerators (62% male and 38% female), who carried out interviews with 4, 642 key informants (68% male and 32% female) across 1, 150 assessed localities, including 516 communal sections outside the MAPAP, 398 neighbourhoods within the MAPAP, and 236 spontaneous sites.
