Sri Lankan shares closed higher on Wednesday, led by gains in communication services and information technology stocks. The CSE All-Share index settled up 0. 15% at 21, 085. 15. Industrial Asphalts (Ceylon) PLC and Agstar PLC were the top percentage gainers on the CSE All-Share index, rising 16. 7% and 10. 3%, respectively. Trading volume on the index rose to 83. 4 million shares from 58. 4 million in the previous session. The equity market’s turnover fell to 1. 32 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($4. 01 million) from 1. 37 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data. Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 12. 9 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 1. 31 billion rupees, the data showed.
