Makkah Agreement can open up new investment avenues: PA Speaker

LAHORE: Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Ahmad Khan has said that the Makkah Agreement among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye could open new avenues for economic, technological and industrial cooperation, stressing that strategic partnerships must translate into investment, trade and economic growth. Speaking at a session on “From Makkah to Global Partnerships: Security, Economic Development and Pakistan’s Emerging Role in the Muslim World” at a private university in Gujranwala, he said Pakistan’s defence capability should serve deterrence and peace, while national strength must be built through education, research, technology and a skilled workforce.
