India has rejected Pakistan’s request to move the 2026 Men’s Asian Champions Trophy to a neutral venue, saying the tournament will be held in India as scheduled. The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) had asked the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) to either relocate the tournament or shift all of Pakistan’s matches to a neutral venue amid the current situation between Pakistan and India. PHF Ad Hoc President Mohiuddin Ahmed Wani said the request was made to ensure a safe environment for Pakistani players and officials. However, Indian Hockey Federation President Bhola Nath Singh said the Asian Champions Trophy would remain in India according to the existing schedule. Singh said that if Pakistan did not travel to India to participate in the tournament, an alternative team would be invited to replace it. The Men’s Asian Champions Trophy 2026 is scheduled to take place from October 27 to November 5 in Jalandhar and Mohali. Pakistan, India, China, Japan, Malaysia and South Korea are scheduled to participate in the tournament.
