Second coaching clinic held for school kids at NCA

LAHORE: A second coaching clinic for School kids was held here at the National Cricket Academy, as part of the PCB Talent Hunt Programme for Schools. The Star School cricket team held their training session and were mentored by Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Mohammad Nawaz. With the momentum building for the second edition of the PCB Talent Hunt Programme for Schools, the training and preparation camps for all 1400 participating schools across 100 districts are well underway since the second week of August. The tournament is expected to begin from 19th September with the opening match to be held at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. The School Cricket season has returned on a strong note following its successful conduct in 2025 and with the support of PCB and as per vision of Chairman PCB, it is set to provide playing opportunities to around 21, 000 school kids in its second iteration. The players from Stars School kept themselves focused at training while their techniques and playing styles were being watched and analysed by the national cricketers. The excitement and energy at the nets was seen aplenty with Haris guiding fast bowlers and Nawaz outlining the key aspects regarding spin bowling. Shaheen also worked with the pace attack of Star School and shared some vital tips with the batters in the nets.
